He was never a drag racer but my grandpa had a lot of fun with cars. This photo is him taking home the checkered flag at a dirt track race. A few months ago I spent a day with him talking about the new class and how excited we were and that I really wanted it to have a title sponsor, after I left he told my mom he wished he had the money because he would give it to me himself. He past away after being sick for years weeks before our 2013 banquet. My mom came to me just before the banquet to say she was donating the money to title the class because that's what he would have wanted. I am obviously very proud to announce the JIM CLERE MEMORIAL 11.50 INDEX will be joining the ranks of the RRA in 2014!!!!!
