Walker and Carroll returned for their 2nd trip to the SMACKDOWN. Sahli and DeWeese are rookies to the RRA making 2013 chance to race.

John Sahli finished 4th overall in his very 1st year in action with the RRA, which says a lot about his skills as a driver. The 10.50 class is the largest field made up of some of the toughest racers within the RRA. He was taking on the newly crowned Champ in round #1 of the SMACKDOWN. They faced each other twice in the regular season where Walker got the win both times, but the streak would end there, he would not make it a third. John covered him on the tree with a .01 light to Walker's .02. Mike ran just a little to hard trying to make up the difference, he broke out with a 10.49 to John's 10.51 and Sahli moved on to the finals.

Dennis DeWeese, another rookie in 2013 finished 3rd overall. He claimed a victory race #2 of the regular season which served as the deciding factor in the tie breaker between himself and John Sahli. It has been said that 10.50 is the toughest class to go rounds so finishing 3rd in points and making the SMACKDOWN speaks for itself for the caliber of racer DeWeese is. He was set to face Mike Carroll, the defending SMACKDOWN Champion. With only .002 separating them off the line the race was intense but in the end Carroll got the double breakout victory with a 10.48 to DeWeese's 10.44.

The final round of the 10.50 ABRUZZI SMACKDOWN paired Rookie vs Defending Champion. John Sahli was once again .01 on the tree only unfortunately for him this time he was .01 Red!! The potential for an upset was there but the race was called off the line giving the round and the SMACKDOWN Championship to Mike Carroll...the only racer to successfully defend his SMACKDOWN title.
